The Excellent Horse snuffle mat was developed to challenge horses and Ponies! This mat stimulates horses’ natural foraging behaviour (sniffing behaviour), as they have to make an effort to eat all the treats from the mat. Ideal for combating boredom or rewarding horses in a playful way. The mat is made of soft silicone, making it suitable for horses with sensitive noses too.
Use
Place the snuffle mat on a flat surface (for example, in the stable, trailer or paddock) and fill it with treats, such as slobber mash, pellets, muesli or pieces of fruit or vegetables. After use, the mat can easily be hung up (for example, with a carabiner) using the hole in the corner, allowing it to be rinsed and air-dried.
